Jerome Medical is pleased to announce that its parent company, Royce Medical Holdings, was acquired by Ossur HF (http://www.ossur.com) in a transaction valued at approximately $216 million on August 10, 2005. Ossur, based in Reykjavik, Iceland, is a trusted and leading gloabal supplier of Prosthetic and Orthotic devices. In addition to Jerome Medical, other Royce Medical Holdings subsidiaries are Royce Medical (Camarillo, CA - http://www.roycemedical.com) and the Philadelphia Collar Company (Thorofare, NJ - http://www.philadelphiacollar.com).

The acquisition of these companies will move Ossur significantly closer to realizing its objectives in the Orthotics market and will position Ossur as one of the leading Orthotics companies in the US market.

With the acquisition of Jerome Medical and the Philadelphia Collar Company, Ossur has also achieved a significant presence in the Spinal Immobilization Device market. The Philadelphia Collar Company developed the original Philadelphia Collar, perhaps the most well-known cervical device in the world. Jerome's brands include the Miami J family of cervical spine products, and the ReSolve and V1 Halo Systems. Both companies also offer a wide array of adult and pediatric devices for spinal immoblilization.

Jerome believes that its acquisition by Ossur and combination with the Philadelphia Collar Company will enhance its ability to expand its presence in the Spinal Device Market.
